It was love at first conversation. From Lauren and I’s first conversation, we knew we were it for each other. David sounded amazing too, although I didn’t yet have the honor of talking to him. The engagement session, right from the beginning of our conversation, was hyped up. “Are you free July 29th to come do our engagement shoot in Newport, RI where we got engaged?” I checked my Google calendar, scrolling until I found the square for July 29. “Free as a bird!” And the rest is history. Lauren & David booked me for their wedding and for their very special engagement shoot, and I could not be happier to meet them on this special place. With chauffeur (ahem, husband) in tow, we were off to Newport. Once we got to this beautiful place, we started off the session at 40 steps and ended up at Brenton Point State Park (my personal favorite part of the whole shoot) Working with these two was absolutely effortless. They were both complete naturals and made my job so much fun. I am so so so lucky I get to meet incredible humans like these two and document these precious times in their lives (corny, but true.)
The in-between, storytelling images that give the big picture of your wedding day are so important to me in my mission to create images that appreciate with time. I love getting to know my couples and their intricate relationships as well as writing my highlights from their unique day to supplement their photos. Here are some of the weddings I've been lucky enough to document as well as some words about what made their day so memorable for me.
