Lion Rock Farm Garden Party Wedding

Lion Rock Farm in Sharon is easily one of my favorite Connecticut wedding venues to photograph. With its European-inspired gardens, charming main house, sweeping ceremony views overlooking the rolling hills of Connecticut, and its iconic elevated barn, Lion Rock Farm offers an effortlessly elegant setting for a refined garden party wedding.

This venue strikes the perfect balance between whimsical and classic — polished yet relaxed, romantic without feeling overdone. From a sun-drenched garden cocktail hour to a candlelit barn reception, Lion Rock Farm truly has something for every couple who values thoughtful design and timeless celebration.

Ariel and Colin’s Lion Rock Farm wedding weekend was nothing short of magical. The festivities began with a Fourth of July rehearsal and welcome party just down the road at The White Hart, setting the tone for a joyful, multi-day celebration. The weekend concluded with an unforgettable wedding day filled with nonstop dancing, laughter, and heartfelt moments — plus plenty of attempts on my part to win over their sweet puppy, Benny.

Between the rehearsal festivities and the wedding day itself, the celebration was filled with pizza, sparklers, gelato carts, puppy kisses, golden summer light, and a beautifully emotional ceremony. Every detail felt intentional yet joyful, culminating in a packed dance floor that never slowed down.

I will always be grateful for the opportunity to document wedding weekends like Ariel and Colin’s — celebrations rooted in meaning, style, and connection. None of it would have been possible without the incredible planning and design by Angel of Greenhouse Events, whose vision brought every detail together seamlessly.

After their fun and beauiful rehearsal dinner (and they got their beauty sleep) it was time for the main event–their wedding day at Lion Rock Farm!
