This Catskills wedding in the Hudson Valley was one of those days where the rain and unexpected chill could have shifted the tone, but instead it made everything feel more alive, more relaxed, and more fun from the very start.
The couple fully embraced it, and because they did, everyone else followed, which created this really joyful, easy energy where nothing felt forced and moments unfolded naturally as people let go of expectations and just enjoyed being there.
As the night went on, the reception seemed to skip right past anything formal and go straight into celebration, and when the rain and cold eventually pushed everyone inside from the tent, it ended up being the best thing that could have happened because the space filled in, people warmed up, and the dance floor turned into something packed, lively, and full of genuine excitement.
This Catskills wedding was a perfect example of how a Hudson Valley wedding can take on so much personality when couples embrace the moment, with the weather adding to the story instead of taking away from it and making the entire day feel even more memorable.

The in-between, storytelling images that give the big picture of your wedding day are so important to me in my mission to create images that appreciate with time. I love getting to know my couples and their intricate relationships as well as writing my highlights from their unique day to supplement their photos. Here are some of the weddings I've been lucky enough to document as well as some words about what made their day so memorable for me.
