The Venue
Floating farmhouse, nestled next to a gorgeous Catskills creek, is the perfect place to retreat after eloping. Floating Farmhouse is an 1820s manor that mixes modern architecture with the original old world charm of the home. The Catskills offer so many different places for couples to consider, but this is perfect for intimate celebrations. The barn on site is made from the same metal material as macbooks, and it is truly unique in the best way. Ceremonies are not allowed on the property due to local laws prohibiting it, but we headed to Seminary Hill for the gorgeous ceremony overlooking the Delaware river. There truly could not have been a more perfect place to say “I do!”
Their Day
Faye & Pedja wanted to get married in a very intimate setting surrounded by Faye’s parents and the couple’s little boy, Aleksander. So that is exactly what they did! Their little guy was so well behaved and happy, and the couple opted to hire a private chef to cook the family an incredible meal instead of a traditional big wedding. This afforded us lots of time to photograph all over the property (and even get in a boat!) These two are already incredible parents, and it was such an honor to get to see them become an official married couple together!
The in-between, storytelling images that give the big picture of your wedding day are so important to me in my mission to create images that appreciate with time. I love getting to know my couples and their intricate relationships as well as writing my highlights from their unique day to supplement their photos. Here are some of the weddings I've been lucky enough to document as well as some words about what made their day so memorable for me.
