Margot and Angus’ wedding at Winvian Farm was one of those days that just felt effortlessly beautiful. The kind of celebration where every detail is thoughtful but nothing feels too formal—just full of heart, light, and intentional moments.
Set against the lush summer backdrop of Winvian’s sprawling property in Morris, Connecticut, their wedding had all the ingredients for an unforgettable day: gorgeous florals, meaningful family moments (including their sweet baby boy!), and a relaxed elegance that made it all feel personal and real.
If you’ve ever been to Winvian Farm, you know how special it is. Tucked into the Litchfield Hills, it somehow manages to feel both like a hidden escape and a high-end retreat. The quiet beauty of the landscape, the cozy cottages, the refined rustic charm—it’s the kind of place that does a lot of the talking for you.
The floral design was truly the centerpiece of the day. From soft, romantic ceremony arrangements to hanging installations that added drama and softness to the reception tent, every petal was placed with intention. The palette was timeless and garden-inspired, creating an atmosphere that felt elevated but never overdone.
Tables were set with lush centerpieces and glowing candlelight, making the entire space feel warm and inviting as the sun dipped behind the trees.
There was so much joy woven into this day—Margot’s calm elegance, Angus’ warmth, and the way their baby boy made the whole celebration feel even more personal. It wasn’t about a long shot list or staged moments. It was about letting the day unfold naturally, and making space for the real stuff—the hugs, the laughter, the spontaneous dance moves.
It was beautiful because it was theirs.
The in-between, storytelling images that give the big picture of your wedding day are so important to me in my mission to create images that appreciate with time. I love getting to know my couples and their intricate relationships as well as writing my highlights from their unique day to supplement their photos. Here are some of the weddings I've been lucky enough to document as well as some words about what made their day so memorable for me.
