The Inn at Five Points in Saratoga, NY is one of the loveliest bed & breakfasts I have ever been to. It’s quaintness reminded me so much of the bnbs I stayed in when visiting Ireland, which made me SO happy. I learned about it from a fellow photographer friend. Kathleen and John are getting married in Saratoga this year, and because they live out of state, there were very limited days they were available for their session, so you can imagine the slight panic when Kathleen and I were checking the weather religiously only to keep seeing ice and rain in the forecast. Enter the Inn at Five Points–our saving grace. It was the absolute PERFECT space for a cozy, intimate engagement session. I was so excited to be doing something a little different than the traditional outdoor sunset session. We were lucky enough that there were flowers adorning one of the beautiful fireplaces (and you know I had to take advantage of that!) During the session, we decided to play the Backstreet Boys at John’s request, which he knew pretty much every lyric and proudly sang them to Kathleen 😂
We wanted to make sure the session was personalized to them and their relationship–so I asked them ahead of time what types of activities they like to do together. Kathleen told me scrabble is their thing, so when we saw there was a Scrabble set already there, we had to break it out for a photo op. We then ended the session with some shots that showed off the beautiful wrap-around porch at the Inn at Five Points, and broke out the umbrella to get a few outdoor shots. This is definitely a session I LOVED and I hope to shoot at the Inn at Five Points again soon!
